An ADU is a small house with a big job: it has to fit your lot, pass Los Angeles code, and hold up for decades. That takes a crew that knows framing, foundation work, electrical rough-in, and the specific permitting path for accessory dwelling units in LA. Our local team has been building backyard homes and garage conversions across Los Angeles since we opened this location. Between them, they’ve worked on hillside lots in Silver Lake, flat postwar parcels in the Valley, and tight alley-loaded lots in South LA. What unites them is simpler than credentials: they say the price before the work, show up in the window given, and leave the place cleaner than found. Miguel R. – Lead Technician
Miguel has been building in Los Angeles for 14 years, the last six of those focused almost entirely on accessory dwelling units and garage conversions. He’s certified in plan reading and framing, and he’s the person who walks your lot with the city-approved plans in hand to make sure what’s drawn is what gets built. Miguel has a knack for the tricky ones: ADUs on sloped lots, garages with cracked slabs that need new footings, and old LA homes where the utility lines aren’t where the records say they are. He’s also our go-to for Abodu and Boxabl panel-set coordination, since factory-built modules don’t arrive by accident. Miguel keeps a notebook in the truck with a hand-sketched map of every project; he’ll flip it open to explain a grade issue or a setback if you ask. Outside work, he’s a Dodgers season-ticket holder and claims he can frame a wall faster than the bullpen can lose a lead.
Danielle K. – Senior Installer
Danielle has spent nine years in residential construction, the last five with Lodgewick ADU Los Angeles. Her specialty is finish work and envelope sealing: windows, doors, weatherproofing, siding runs, and James Hardie panel installation. She’s the reason a prefab ADU from Cover or Plant Prefab comes together tight and clean rather than looking like a box dropped in a yard, and she trains every new installer on proper flashing around window openings and door thresholds. Danielle is also certified in lead-safe work practices, which matters on older LA properties where the garage or house predates 1978. She’s exacting in a way that saves homeowners money: caught a misordered door width on a Highland Park garage conversion before it shipped, and we didn’t have to wait three weeks for a replacement. Danielle rides a motorcycle to job sites when the weather holds and is fluent in Spanish and Portuguese.
Priya S. – Service Coordinator

She’s been with the Kingswell family of home-service companies for seven years, and she knows the LA permitting process well enough to explain the difference between a JADU and a full ADU without reading from a script. Andre W. – Apprentice
Andre joined Lodgewick ADU Los Angeles two years ago after finishing a pre-apprenticeship program in construction trades at LA Trade-Tech. He works alongside Miguel and Danielle on framing, insulation, and site prep, and he’s currently studying for his general contracting license. Andre is the one who runs the daily site checklist: tools accounted for, debris cleared, gate locked, everything left cleaner than found. He’s also built a reputation for handling the unglamorous parts of an LA build, like hauling 40 bags of concrete down a narrow sloped driveway in Echo Park and not complaining once. Andre grew up in South LA and says he wants to build the first ADU his aunt can put behind her house in Jefferson Park. He’s on site early, drinks black coffee, and keeps a photo log of every project he’s worked on.
